Moving abroad is a challenge, but why is it sometimes even harder to come back to Germany - to your home country?
Du stehst vor neuen Herausforderungen und ziehst vielleicht auch mit deiner Familie nach jahrelanger oder auch kurzer Zeit im Ausland zurück nach Deutschland. Du freust dich auf die Heimat und auf dein neues Leben, doch du bist beunruhigt was auf euch zukommt.
Will it be easy for us to say goodbye?
You wish for a positive farewell so that you can leave with joy in your heart, but you are worried everyone will just be sad for months. At the same time, you hope for a successful and happy arrival and reintegration in Germany. You want everyone in your family to feel at home in Germany, you all want to make new friends quickly and possibly build on old friendships. But you also don't want to lose your expat personality in the process.
How do we get the kids on board?
Depending on their age, children perceive a move to a new, unfamiliar environment differently and need their parents' help in different ways.
Once you arrive in Germany, you float between worlds for a while.
You have had completely different cultural experiences and don't know how you will cope with the German mentality.
Is your partner new to Germany or does he or she need to make a career change? Will this work out without any problems?
Successful reintegration is significantly influenced by good organizational and internal preparation.
What to expect
With my VIP Re-Entry program, you will learn holistic strategies and mindset methods to create a positive farewell experience and to ensure a quick and successful reintegration backin Germany for you and your family.
In the first strategy meeting (60 min) you will discuss your individual needs.
You will identify personal goals and expectations, which will be the foundation for the following sessions.
In the first meeting (60 min) I share information about the different emotional stages of returning and give you tools to support you in saying farewell. You will learn how to be happy and sad at the same time. We will also cover very practical aspects of returning, such as possible school choices for your children.
The following two meetings (60 minutes each) take place directly after your return to Germany. The focus here is on a successful new start for you and your family. You will build a social network, find new routines and learn to deal with cultural differences.
In the next two meetings (60 minutes each) after approx. 3 months, you will learn tools to manage the so-called re-entry shock. You will develop strategies to resolve possible reintegration problems. You will find perspectives for successful integration in your personal and professional environment and strengthen individual potential for sustainable positive change.
Two additional individual meetings (60 minutes each) are available to one family member at a given time within six months to discuss individual topics.
If you wish, we will meet within approx. 6 months for a wrap-up meeting (60 min) to discuss the future direction of your goals in your new home.
Your 1:1 Q&A during your coaching program! As a bonus, I am also available to answer your questions in between our sessions. You can contact me via WhatsApp. I will respond to you within 24 hours between Monday and Friday. This gives you comprehensive support - so that you can react quickly and feel fully supported in every situation.
